Come look at our newly restored Lodge Room on the Second Floor -  new floors, repainting, etc.  Restoration is an onging project, with much more to come in 2010!

LODGE MYSTERY!

When removing the upholstered chairs (bolted to the floor) from the lodge room, so that the carpet and linoleum could be removed to reveal the beautiful hard wood floor, a mystery was revealed!  Under some of the chairs was a removable piece of flooring.  Inside, a tin lined shallow reservoir that is about sixteen feet long.  It has a drain and a spigot for water.  No one knows why it is there or what it was used for.  If you know, please write the lodge!  We all would love to know.  Pictures below (as are links to other aspects of the renovation):
